Hello, I am Dr. Dongkyu Lee, an orthopedic specialist. It has been a while since I last wrote. Due to various circumstances, I closed my previous clinic and am now practicing at a new clinic near Nonhyeon Station, making a fresh start. I will continue to work hard. Today, let's learn about non-surgical treatment for shoulder conditions. You may have heard of PIMS therapy before. Some of you might be hearing about it for the first time. So what exactly is PIMS therapy?

As shown in the diagram, when a shoulder condition develops, the surrounding tissues become weakened and inflamed, leading to stiffness and adhesion of the joint capsule and muscle tissue, resulting in pain and limited range of motion. PIMS therapy is a non-surgical treatment that addresses these issues.

Specifically, it involves using prolotherapy injections to promote tissue recovery and relieve pain in weakened tendons and tissues, and using specialized needles to release contractures in muscles and the joint capsule to restore range of motion. However, it would be unrealistic to say that all shoulder conditions can be resolved with this alone... With diverse conditions like calcific tendinitis, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), and rotator cuff disorders (partial tears, inflammation, tendinosis, etc.), it would be wonderful if one treatment could cure them all. But there is no magic cure-all... That is why I personally developed and improved upon this: the New PIMS treatment.

By adding disease-specific specialized treatments to the existing PIMS therapy, we have achieved more effective and outstanding treatment results. We developed specialized treatments for each condition and added them so that patients can receive treatment tailored to their specific condition.

As shown in the photos, the New PIMS treatment incorporates specialized treatments for calcific tendinitis, frozen shoulder, and rotator cuff disorders, delivering more effective and outstanding treatment results for our patients. Of course, New PIMS is not a magic cure-all. Patients who need surgery should undergo surgery. However, inadequate conservative treatment can cause suffering or allow the condition to worsen over time without proper healing. Before resorting to surgical treatment, or when long-term conservative treatment has failed to improve the condition, the New PIMS treatment delivers outstanding results that can truly be called a revolution in non-surgical treatment. Next time, I will show case studies for each condition with more detailed explanations.
