Hello. I'm Dr. Dongkyu Lee. As my blog readers know, calcific tendinitis can be treated non-surgically. By removing the calcification through calcific deposit aspiration, calcific tendinitis can be fundamentally treated. https://blog.naver.com/9690067/222801103857

Many patients ask me whether non-surgical removal is really possible. They say their regular doctor or other hospitals they've visited told them that aspirating calcification with a syringe doesn't work well and isn't effective. So they were told surgery was the only way to completely remove it. ??? When patients ask me this, I just smile. Just because someone doesn't know about it or can't do it doesn't mean it's ineffective or doesn't work. I simply show the results. Today, I'll show you those results again. This patient also suffered from calcific tendinitis for over a year. They received injections whenever the pain flared up and underwent the shockwave therapy their hospital recommended, but symptoms actually worsened, which is when they came to see me.

On the X-ray, the white area within the red circle is the calcification. Ultrasound was performed to determine the exact condition and size of the deposit.

On ultrasound, a large calcific deposit measuring 2.16 cm (height) x 1.11 cm (width) was observed. The ultrasound shows the full outline of the deposit, indicating a soft, non-rigid calcification. In such cases, aspiration with a syringe can sometimes be difficult because the thick, paste-like calcification can clog the needle. However, I use a specialized guide and specially designed drill to crush the calcification, then dilute it with an appropriate amount of saline solution, and repeatedly aspirate to remove the deposit.

In the ultrasound footage, you can see a white line entering from the left toward the center, which is the specialized guide. The guide is inserted into the calcification, a specially designed drill is used to crush the deposit, and then saline solution is used to repeatedly flush and remove the calcification.

Looking at the syringe photo after the procedure, an enormous amount of calcification has been aspirated. A post-procedure X-ray was taken.

The calcification that was previously visible is now nearly invisible.

Comparing the before and after images, the removal is even more clearly evident. With a single procedure, over a year of suffering from calcific tendinitis was resolved. Calcific deposits vary depending on the stage of the condition: hard deposits, soft deposits, thick paste-like deposits, thin liquid deposits, and more. Regardless of the type, I believe my experience and skill can achieve removal.

Calcific tendinitis can be treated non-surgically. Aspiration with a needle is possible. (Experience is key) Calcific deposit aspiration can treat calcific tendinitis.
