(Platinum Clinic) Shoulder Calcific Tendinitis: Fundamental Non-Surgical Treatment with Calcium Crushing and Aspiration!

Hello. I'm Dr. Dongkyu Lee, an orthopedic specialist. So many patients suffer from calcific tendinitis. The pain can be excruciating, and when shoulder calcific tendinitis persists for a long time, prolonged inflammation in the joint capsule can lead to adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), making the condition even worse. The fundamental treatment for calcific tendinitis is removing the calcium deposit. That's why surgery is sometimes performed to definitively remove it. Through our NewPIMS treatment: calcium crushing and aspiration, we fundamentally remove the calcium to free patients from the suffering of calcific tendinitis. The case I'll show you is a 45-year-old male patient who suffered from calcific tendinitis for 2 years. After being diagnosed with calcific tendinitis, he received shockwave and injection treatments, but the pain would temporarily improve only to recur. This cycle repeated until he also developed limited range of motion, making daily life impossible, which is when he came to see me. He said he couldn't undergo surgery at the time and wanted non-surgical treatment.

On MRI, a calcium deposit approximately 3.1cm in size is observed within the supraspinatus tendon, along with adhesion of the inferior joint capsule.

The area indicated by the red arrow shows the needle, the yellow dotted outline shows the calcium deposit, and the calcium was crushed and aspirated using the syringe.

After the NewPIMS calcium crushing and aspiration, you can see the white material settled at the bottom of the syringe indicated by the arrow — that is the calcium.

Comparing the before and after images, the calcium that was inside the red circle is nearly gone in the yellow circle.

After treatment, the patient's pain nearly disappeared and range of motion improved significantly. He lamented what kind of treatments he had been getting all along and said he never knew such a treatment existed. He promised to actively tell other patients about it and refer them. Ha ha.
